We took full advantage of one of the last beautiful autumn weekends and went to a Renaissance Fair. It was so amazing!!! We saw a Royal procession before the jousting tournament began. It felt as close as an Idahoan can feel to being in a movie like the Knight's Tale. The costumes, the food, and real knights in shining armor on real horses was unbelievable! Plus we were educated in falconry, and armor. Rachel is learning about the Renaissance right now in World Civ. and really enjoyed it. I did too, as I have read many historical novels about this time period.
