Two Recitals in One Day

First we had Rachel's dance recital. It was her first one. The teacher called it "low key", and I call it, short and simple. Rachel isn't sure she is going to stick with dancing, as she isn't enjoying it. Or maybe I will check around for another dance class.....

Then, right after dinner, we had the kids piano recital. They did SO well!! Rachel played two songs, Deck the Halls and Holly Jolly Christmas. She knew both by heart, but got a little nervous with the first song. The second one, she played nearly perfectly. Josh played The Nutcracker. He did it wonderfully!!! He was the only student to play without his book in front of him. It has been so great to hear them practice these songs all month. It's a great way to get us into the spirit of Christmas.
